Hi! I'm Pete Conrad. That's me circa 1985 in my snazzy HHS band uniform. I spent four years in the A-Wing, whether in the graphic arts room, arts rooms, chorus room, or band room. I owe a lot to the HHS arts program, especially band director Mr. Leary, Chorus director Mrs. Rogers, and graphic arts teacher Mr. Olszak. The skills they taught me transferred to a very successful career as an author of five books (so far). I knew that many band members and talent show entertainers still played their instruments, sang or still engaged in the arts. I thought it would be great to see them all on stage again, together, performing for a worthwhile cause. So, I got with Dean Tsioropoulos, the new HHS band director, and told him of this idea of having HHS alumni recreate their talent show performances as a band fundraiser. He loved the idea and brought it to the HHS administration. They loved the idea, too, and here we are today - putting on a show!
So far, we have over a dozen acts from the 1970s to the 2000s that range from pop and punk bands to singers and soloists. And we've got a couple of surprises up our sleeve, too! If you would like to perform and are a HHS alumni (up to class of 2016), contact us and tell us you're in! We have a very limited number of open slots.
Please share this page with as many people as you can. My goal is to sell out this must-see show. Use the PayPal buttons above to either buy a ticket or make a donation if you can't make it to the show. I am personally making up any PayPal fees, if incurred, so that 100% of all ticket sales and donations benefit the HHS Band.
Thank you so much!
